We had one explosive and exciting ending to 2008, but 2009 is going to be power packed and we are going to hit the ground running!
The whole focus of our Youth ministry at Chestnut Creek is on a real God who is both a loving and just God. Teens today get enough judgment by their peers on a day to day basis and that is not what our ministry is about. The staff of our student department strives to not only teach of the love of God and our Savior Jesus Christ, but also to show that to each and every student that walks through the doors of our church. We want to develop a relationship that reaches beyond the Church house doors. You will often find one of our staff members in the stands cheering for our students in everything from sports to pageants.
Currently we have a drama team that is working on a full scale production and is actively involved in our worship services. The drama they are currently working on is much more than just a play, but more like a real life experience that is an in your face perspective of situations that face our teens on a daily basis. We also do dance dramas and skits to popular Christian music.
The Revolution is a new and energetic worship service that integrates audio, video, drama and speaking. This hour long service is a place where teens and college students can come to get a mid-week refill. The message is simple but the impact is extreme, even to the point of life changing. Revolution and FUEL are just two programs that we have happening on Wednesday night at 6:00 pm. in our new Student Worship Center. We look forward to seeing you there!
